Why can't files be directly dragged and dropped into the software, and why does the mouse pointer show a prohibited icon?

Software permission requirements

Since our software needs to perform batch modification and deletion operations on files on your computer, it requires higher permissions.

At the beginning, our software only needs ordinary permissions to start by default, but many users install the software directly to the C drive, and the C drive is the system drive, so when running the software, they will encounter permission problems, resulting in problems such as failure to open and errors. Some users often deal with files on the desktop. Please note that the desktop is also in the system drive, so errors will also be reported when processing files.

In order to solve the problem of permission errors when processing files, we require the software to be started as an administrator by default when double-clicking to open it. This solves the problem of error reporting when processing files, but if the user is not a "super administrator", it will cause the problem of "invalid drag and drop".

In short, we have temporarily made a balance, first ensuring that users will not have problems with permissions, so that some users' drag and drop will fail. For most users, the most important thing is to process files without errors.

Solution (elevate computer permissions)

1. Press Windows + R on the keyboard to enter the run interface, then enter the following code and confirm

gpedit.msc

Note: If an error is reported, it means that the configuration function on your computer is disabled and the system settings cannot be changed, so you need to solve this error first: download and unzip this file → right-click on this bat file → run as administrator → restart step 1 after running.

2. Enter the Local Group Policy Editor → Computer Configuration → Windows Configuration → Security Settings → Local Policies → Security Options → Scroll down on the right and find the option "Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode" → Double-click this option and select "Disabled" in the pop-up window → Confirm → Restart the computer.
